Smiley Children Society Continues to Bridge Educational Gaps for Underprivileged Children in Andhra Pradesh
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: For many children living in economically disadvantaged communities, access to education can be limited by financial constraints and lack of awareness. Addressing these challenges has been the primary mission of Smiley Children Society, which has been working tirelessly to promote educational inclusion since its establishment on January 19, 2019.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization operates through its headquarters in Mandapeta, supported by branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through a dedicated team of volunteers, Smiley Children Society continues to create opportunities for children by helping them access education and supporting them throughout their learning journey.
A key initiative of the organization focuses on assisting children with admissions to government schools. Volunteers regularly visit villages and underserved communities to identify children who have not yet enrolled in school, interact with their families, provide guidance on admission procedures, and coordinate with school authorities to complete the enrollment process.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the society’s contribution toward increasing school enrollment and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for his continued commitment to educational development.
“Every child deserves an opportunity to receive an education that can shape their future. Our volunteers are committed to reaching families who need support and ensuring that children begin their educational journey with confidence,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To complement its enrollment initiatives, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara for students requiring additional academic assistance. The program offers personalized guidance, concept clarification, homework support, and examination preparation, helping students improve their academic performance and remain motivated in their studies.
Understanding that children’s well-being extends beyond academics, the organization also provides free dinner after every tuition session. This initiative supports children’s nutritional needs while reducing financial pressure on families and encouraging regular participation in the program.
In addition to academic support, Smiley Children Society advocates for strengthening early childhood education through innovative teaching methods. During educational events, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centres and schools to incorporate activity-based learning, storytelling, creative classroom exercises, and interactive educational tools that make learning enjoyable and effective for young children.
The organization also contributes educational materials, classroom equipment, and teaching aids to schools whenever possible, helping educators create engaging learning environments that inspire curiosity and creativity.
As Smiley Children Society continues to expand its outreach across Andhra Pradesh, it remains committed to empowering children through education, volunteerism, and community collaboration. By investing in children’s learning today, the organization continues to build a stronger, more educated, and more inclusive future for generations to come.
